Join this combination jeep-boat-snorkelling day trip beginning on the Akamas Peninsular, with stops including Lara Bay(Turtle Bay), traditional villages, the Baths of Aphrodite and the fishing village and Port of Latchi. The morning tour from Paphos by Land Rover takes you along the western coastline, onto the Akamas peninsular with a visit to Lara Bay (Turtle Bay), breeding territory of the Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta Caretta). Continuing with an inter-village drive along the flank of the peninsular to the Port of Latchi where you will board a waiting Passenger Cruiser for a mini cruise to the spectacular BLUE LAGOON. Best access to Blue Lagoon is by boat, and the entire round-trip cruise around the Akamas peninsular headland, which takes approximately 2.5 hours, provides a perfect opportunity to relax, have fun and get swimming! Visitors love the shallow, iridescent blue water with its rock reefs close to shore - perfect for snorkelling with plenty to see.
You will have free time for swimming, snorkelling, and relaxing on board with a complimentary drink. Returning to Port around 1300 hours, we head by Land Rover to a sea-side Cypriot taverna for lunch. A visit to the Baths of Aphrodite is next, followed by a journey through the traditional villages of the region on the return to Paphos.
Do you only have one day to explore Cyprus? Then this trip is recommended. It truly is a fantastic chance to visit 2 of the most beautiful places in Cyprus, the Akamas National Park, and the stunning Blue Lagoon, all in one full day excursion. 4 adults guaranteed places every day. Jeeps are licensed for 10 passengers plus the driver - however our policy is to keep to a maximum of 8 adult passengers for your comfort (unless of course you are a family or group of 9 or 10 who all wish to go together). Jeeps normally travel alone, however for larger groups, jeep convoys are available.
Q – What time and where will I be picked up from?
A – Pick-ups begin in Paphos at 0800. Let us know which hotel you are staying in on your booking checkout, and you will receive an email with details of the time of your pickup. You should wait at the main reception of your hotel. Please don’t be late, as the jeep can’t wait !
Q – What should I wear and bring along?
A – Wear Summer shorts, T-shirts, sandals, or flip flops. Wear or bring your swimwear. Don’t forget a towel, sunhat, sunglasses, camera, mask/snorkel, oh, and a great sense of humour!
Q – What about lunch?
A – Feeling hungry? At your service. Speak to your group driver if you would like to be included in the organized lunch venue – a seaside taverna. Pre-order your food, so there’s no waiting around – don’t forget to let the driver know if you have any food preferences, like vegan or vegetarian. Alternatively, the driver will provide you with the best options to choose from the many tavernas, restaurants and snack bars in the marina and go it alone! An important tip and heads up – hotel packed lunches are not advisable, as they cannot be kept cool.
Q – How can I pay for lunch and other incidentals?
A - Most tavernas have a facility to pay by card. Bar drinks on board the boat can only be paid in cash.
Q – Can car seats be provided for small children?
A – Yes, if your child requires a car seat, this can be arranged at no extra cost. Let us know on your booking checkout.
Q – What happens if the boat trip is cancelled?
A – If the boat trip is cancelled by the port authorities due to poor sea conditions, your whole trip can be re-arranged for another day, or you can receive a full refund.
Q - What is the trip’s cancellation policy?
A – For a full refund, cancellations must be received and confirmed by us up to 24 hours before the trip.
Q – When do the trips run?
A – Trips begin 1 March 2022 and run until 30 November 2022 (weather permitting).
